Bergeron Machine has produced small-diameter Swiss-turned components for semiconductor programs since 1948. Strom Manufacturing has run lights-out production for these customers since 1974, with pallet-equipped machining centers built for consistent, predictable throughput.
The platform’s combination of Swiss machining, multi-axis milling, EDM, and integrated inspection covers the range of part types semiconductor OEMs need across a single supply chain. For telecommunications programs, Compass has a track record in the intricate tooling required to produce optical fibers, where close tolerances in extremely hard materials are the core technical requirement. Program requirements stay on the same quality system throughout. No requalification, no new documentation trail, no break in the customer relationship when work moves between locations.
Semiconductor capital equipment programs also tend to involve components that cut across multiple process types. A single assembly might require Swiss-turned fasteners, precision-milled aluminum housings, and EDM tooling inserts. The Compass Precision platform handles all three without the customer coordinating separate supplier relationships for each, and the quality documentation covers the full assembly rather than arriving in pieces from separate vendors.

Accu-Tool has machined for semiconductor customers for more than 30 years from its facility in Apex, NC, working in engineered plastics and refractory metals such as molybdenum, tungsten, and TZM for semiconductor capital equipment, materials most shops actively avoid quoting. That reputation came with the shop when it joined the Compass Precision platform in May 2026.
Bergeron Machine in Westford, MA has manufactured Swiss-turned components for semiconductor customers since 1948, producing small-diameter components, 1/8 inch to 1-1/4 inch, in Inconel, Monel, titanium, and other difficult materials with the guide-bushing accuracy semiconductor programs require. In December 2025, Bergeron added a Tornos MultiSwiss 8×26, an eight-spindle configuration reaching 8,000 RPM in a few tenths of a second, expanding the shop’s capacity for high-volume semiconductor production programs.
Strom Manufacturing in North Plains, Oregon has operated in lights-out production mode since 1974. Palletized horizontal and vertical machining centers give semiconductor customers short, predictable lead times across recurring programs.
