Accu-Tool
Accu-Tool has provided precision machining to medical, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, electronics, and robotics customers for more than four decades. The company is based in Apex, North Carolina, in the Research Triangle area, and is a veteran-owned small business.
Accu-Tool brings more than 30 years of experience machining engineered plastics and refractory metals such as molybdenum and tungsten for semiconductor customers, alongside more traditional metals and alloys. Compass Precision acquired Accu-Tool in May 2026, adding a Research Triangle facility to the platform.
As part of the Compass Precision platform, Accu-Tool gives customers the semiconductor and high-temperature materials expertise of a specialized shop backed by the broader capacity, shared systems, and coordinated support of a multi-site manufacturing platform.

Capabilities
Where They Excel
Semiconductor Materials Expertise
Accu-Tool’s semiconductor customers need machinists comfortable with refractory metals most shops avoid. More than 30 years of molybdenum, tungsten, and engineered plastics work gives the shop a materials vocabulary that translates directly to demanding semiconductor tooling programs.
Core Capabilities
Shared Platform Capabilities
CNC Milling and Turning
Multi-axis CNC milling and turning covers prototype through low-to-mid volume OEM production.
Wire EDM
In-house Wire EDM supports intricate, difficult-to-machine geometries.
Horizontal Milling
Horizontal machining centers reach multiple faces of a part in one setup, holding position across features on prototype and production runs alike.
Mill-Turn
Turning and milling finish in a single sequence instead of moving between machines, so a part comes off the spindle one and done.
CMM Inspection
Part inspection and documentation support full dimensional verification.
Material Experience
Engineered plastics, traditional metals and alloys, and the high-temperature refractory metals most shops avoid. Molybdenum and tungsten are a regular material at Accu-Tool, not a special case.
